I was hoping that the UN could have taken stronger actions in regards to sanctions against Syria...even go so far as to freeze their assets & bank accts. I believe you're right. How can we expect to change a country into a mini-version of the U.S. especially when their way of life has been embedded in their existence for thousands of years? And especially when we don't have our own "stuff" together as a democratic republic. I feel for the innocent victims of war but...there is an Arab League...let them handle their own problems for a change. Our young warriors are tired of fighting for ambiguous causes.
